Southeast Air Ambulance pilots provide access to a higher level of emergency health care for patients with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. As an air ambulance pilot, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference in the lives of others on a daily basis. Yes, the career is challenging. Yes, it’s a difficult field to get into. You must first become qualified to fly commercially before you would be eligible for consideration. You must take and pass the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) certification.
